Tussle beer was created for a sports entertainment brand with a rich history in the WWE wrestling arena. To personify Tussle and project the brand’s personality, we developed the gorilla icon as a mascot for the brand identity. The goal was to develop a strong character, not aggressive or intimidating, but seriously cool; someone you could enjoy a beer with.
Our brief for the packaging design was to offer a subtle wrestling connection for the WWE global fanbase, but also to reflect the values of a craft beer brewed in Sussex; bold and eye-catching, yet authentic and crafty. The visual execution is based on the idea of a rumble in the jungle on Brighton beach.
